- Meyer Lemon Juice - 3 tablespoons
- Garlic - 1 head
- Salt - 1 tablespoon
- Basil - to taste
- Butter - 3 tablespoons

Squeeze the juice from half a lemon (to get more juice from the lemon, you can place it in the microwave for 10 seconds on high power).

Mix the softened butter, basil, lemon juice, and spread it between the skin and the fillet.
Step 3
Rub the chicken with a mixture of crushed garlic and salt. Wrap it in a bag and refrigerate for 2–4 hours.
Step 4
Remove the chicken, place half a lemon inside the cavity, and tie the legs; you can also tie the wings to the body to prevent them from burning.
Step 5
Bake the chicken at 356°F for about an hour.
