Ingredients
- Poultry - 3 lbs
- Oranges - 2 pieces
- Shallot - 8.8 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Turnips - 17.6 oz
- Chopped almonds - 1.8 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Apple Wine - 5 fl oz
- Saffron - to taste
- Star anise - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 374°F.
Step 2
Peel the oranges.
Step 3
Peel the carrots and slice them into rounds.
Step 4
Blanch the shallots in salted water and peel them.
Step 5
Rub the prepared chicken with salt, oil, and pepper. Stuff it with orange zest and bake the chicken for about one and a half hours.
Step 6
Add the carrots and shallots to the chicken, pour in the wine, season with saffron, anise, and honey, and put it in the oven for another 15 minutes.
Step 7
Sprinkle the finished chicken with chopped almonds.
Step 8
Serve with the flesh of the oranges.
