Chicken Breast in Soy Sauce with Lime and Green Salad

Ingredients

  • Lime - 1 piece
  • Soy Sauce - 3 fl oz
  • Water - 3 fl oz
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Corn Salad - 1.4 oz
  • Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Skin-On Chicken Breasts - 10.6 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Heat a skillet over high heat and add the oil. Pat the chicken breast dry with paper towels and fry it over high heat for 4–5 minutes on each side until a nice crispy crust forms.

Step 2

While frying the chicken, prepare the lime (cut it into wedges) and the green salad: place it on a plate where you will serve the chicken. Tear large leaves by hand.

Step 3

Once the chicken is fried, pour in the soy sauce, water, and squeeze the juice from the lime. Place the remaining lime peels next to the chicken. Stir, cover the skillet with a lid, and simmer the chicken over high heat for 5–7 minutes.

Step 4

During this time, the chicken will cook well but remain tender and juicy. Remove the chicken breast from the sauce and slice it. Reduce the sauce over high heat until it thickens and becomes glossy.

Step 5

Place the pieces of chicken on top of the green salad, drizzle with the hot sauce, and serve. If desired, you can also drizzle the chicken with peanut oil, walnut oil, or sesame oil.
