Chicken breasts baked in cream with cheese

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet - 2 pieces
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Baking Tomatoes - to taste
  • Lemon - 1 piece
  • Cream 22% - 5.3 oz
  • Salad Potatoes - 3 pieces
  • Cheese Spread - 3.5 oz
  • Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Onion - 1 piece
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Wash and peel the chicken breasts, then make small incisions and insert 2-3 finely chopped cloves of garlic. Rub with salt on all sides and lightly pepper.

Step 2

For baking the breasts in the oven, it's better to choose a dish with high sides — a frying pan or a saucepan. Grease the inside of the dish with some vegetable oil, place the breasts in it, and sprinkle the remaining space with chopped onion.

Step 3

Pour in about 150 g of cream with at least 20% fat content, so that the cream slightly covers the onion.

Step 4

Squeeze half a lemon over the cream (creams with 20% fat and above handle this procedure easily).

Step 5

Add 3-4 tablespoons of grated canned tomatoes (those who do not like tomatoes can skip this step).

Step 6

Slice the specified amount of potatoes into rounds and arrange them in such a way as to leave the tomato 'islands' intact. This will be our garnish: potatoes baked in cream pair very well with poultry.

Step 7

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Place the dish in a preheated oven at 392°F, on the rack just below the middle level. The breasts will bake for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, grate the cheese, remove the dish from the oven, and generously sprinkle the cheese over the dish.

Step 8

Bake for another 15 minutes, during which the cheese will typically turn golden.
