Ingredients
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts - 4 pieces
- Ham - 4 slices
- Butter - 0.5 oz
- Grated Ginger Root - 0.4 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Apricot Jam - 1 tablespoon
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the breasts, pat them dry, and rub with salt, pepper, and ginger. Let sit for 20 minutes.
Step 2
Fry the breasts in a mixture of vegetable and butter.
Step 3
Roll out the thawed puff pastry and divide it into 4 squares. Place a slice of ham on each square, spread it with jam. Place a chicken breast on the ham and pinch the edges.
Step 4
Place the pastry-wrapped breasts on a baking sheet previously greased with oil.
Step 5
Brush the surface of the pastry with egg.
