Chicken drumsticks in wine and pepper sauce
Ingredients
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Chicken Drumstick - 8 pieces
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper - 2 tablespoons
- Dry White Wine - 7 fl oz
- 20% Sour Cream - 7.1 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the chicken drumsticks and pat them dry. Finely chop the onion. Crush the pepper in a mortar.
Step 2
Marinate the chicken with onion, 1 tablespoon of pepper, salt, and olive oil for about 30 minutes.
Step 3
Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed pot, add the chicken and onion, mix well, and simmer covered on low heat for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Chop the garlic, add it to the chicken, sprinkle in the remaining pepper, mix again, and cover for another 15 minutes.
Step 5
Transfer the chicken to a bowl and cover with foil.
Step 6
Add the remaining juices from frying to the white wine, turn the heat to maximum, and reduce by half.
Step 7
Add the sour cream, mix well, pour in the lemon juice, mix again, and heat on medium for 5 minutes.
Step 8
Blend the finished sauce until smooth.
Step 9
Add the chicken to the sauce and heat everything together for 5 minutes.
Step 10
Serve with your favorite side dish, garnished with herbs.
