Description
The original recipe also includes 1 bunch of green onions, but I didn't have any on hand, so I simply sprinkled everything with marjoram at the end. If you use onions, add them when the apples have been sautéing in the chicken fat for about 3 minutes.
Ingredients
- Olive Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Sugar - to taste
- Chicken fillet - 4 pieces
- Apple - 3 pieces
- Balsamic Vinegar - 8 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash and pat dry the chicken fillets.
Step 2
In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Sear the chicken for 7 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Wash the apples, cut them into quarters, and remove the core. Slice the apples.
Step 4
Remove the chicken from the skillet. In the remaining fat, sauté the apples for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Add vinegar and 100 ml of water to the apples, bring to a boil, and simmer for a bit. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar (to taste).
Step 6
Return the chicken to the skillet and let it sit for a moment. Serve on plates with a side dish.
