Description
This is my first experience using a slow cooker; before this, I only had a steamer. As I understand it, cooking times can vary across different models. My slow cooker automatically sets to 50 minutes on the 'Baking' mode, and that time is sufficient. If you're using frozen vegetables, it's better to thaw them first to avoid excess water. You can substitute sour cream with mayonnaise. Feel free to choose your own seasonings. I used a blend of herbs, a mix of peppers, chicken seasoning, and dried herbs. In the end, the chicken turns out very tender, and the flavors of the vegetables do not mix.
Ingredients
- Cheese Spread - 1.8 oz
- Chicken fillet - 10.6 oz
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Vegetables - 7.1 oz
- Sour Cream - 6 oz
- Spices - 0.4 oz
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces, season with salt and pepper, and add spices.
Step 2
Grease the bottom of the multicooker bowl with oil.
Step 3
Place the chicken into the multi-cooker pot.
Step 4
Spread sour cream over the chicken, then add garlic (you can either crush it with a garlic press or finely chop it — whichever you prefer and find more convenient).
Step 5
Now we arrange the vegetables - I used bell pepper, green beans, canned corn, and tomato slices for a nice presentation.
Step 6
Sprinkle grated cheese on top — I used Maasdam.
Step 7
Select the 'Baking' program and wait.
