Ingredients
- Chicken hearts - 24.7 oz
- 20% Sour Cream - 3 spoons
- Sliced Processed Cheese - 3.5 oz
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Onion - 1 piece
- Herbs - 1 bunch
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Starch film - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
PREPARATION: Rinse the hearts, trim off excess fat and vessels. In a deep skillet, add a little vegetable oil and heat it well. Place the hearts in the skillet, season with salt and pepper. Sauté over high heat, stirring vigorously for 2-3 minutes. Then, reduce the heat and let the hearts simmer in their own juices for about 15 minutes.
Step 2
Peel and finely dice the onion. Sauté the onion in a separate pan with some vegetable oil until golden brown. Add the sautéed onion to the chicken hearts, mix well, and let it simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Wash and dry the herbs, then chop them finely. Peel the garlic and crush it using a garlic press. Grate the cheese using a coarse grater.
Step 3
Add sour cream and cheese to the pan with the chicken hearts and stir. The cheese will melt, making the sauce smooth and creamy. Add starch, garlic, and herbs to the pan. Bring the sauce to a boil, and add salt if necessary. Cover the pan with a lid and remove from heat. Serve the tender, flavorful chicken hearts in cheese sauce hot with any side dish.
