Chicken in Citrus-Ginger Marinade
Ingredients
- Cornish Hen - 30 oz
- Salt - 24.7 oz
- Ginger - 0.7 oz
- Garlic - 0.6 oz
- Mandarin Puree - 1 piece
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Soy Sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the garlic, ginger, and mandarin orange.
Step 2
In a deep bowl, squeeze the juice of the mandarin orange, no need to strain the pulp. Then add the lemon juice.
Step 3
Add the garlic, pressed through a garlic press, to the juice.
Step 4
Do the same with the ginger or grate it finely.
Step 5
Add the olive oil and soy sauce.
Step 6
Add the pepper, then mix thoroughly.
Step 7
Pour salt into a baking dish.
Step 8
Rub the chicken with the marinade and place it on the salt.
Step 9
Send it to an oven preheated to 356°F.
Step 10
After 35–40 minutes, the chicken is ready! Let it cool slightly and serve.
