Description
Chicken in honey-mustard marinade with oranges
Ingredients
- Garlic - 2 pieces
- Chicken Thighs - 2 lbs
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Oranges - 3 pieces
- Dijon Mustard - 2 spoons
- Olive Oil - 3 spoons
- Sugar - 3 spoons
- Salt - ½ spoons
- Honey - 3.5 oz
- Toasted Cumin Seeds - ½ spoons
- Turmeric - ½ spoons
- Coriander essential oil - ½ spoons
- Ground Black Pepper - ½ spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the marinade. Mix together mustard, oil, orange juice (from 2 oranges), sugar, salt, honey, pepper, cumin, turmeric, and coriander.
Step 2
Marinate the thighs and refrigerate for an hour.
Step 3
Finely chop the garlic and sprinkle it over the chicken. Slice the onion and the remaining orange into wedges and place them on top of the chicken.
Step 4
Place in a preheated oven at 356°F for one hour. Every 10–15 minutes, baste the chicken with the marinade made from oranges and onions.
Step 5
Remove the dish from the oven. There will be a lot of juice from the marinade with the chicken and orange combined. I recommend drizzling it over the rice, which makes a perfect side dish.
