Description
Chicken in Soy Sauce with Maple Syrup
Ingredients
- Salad Potatoes - 6 pieces
- Poultry - 2 lbs
- Soy Sauce - 7 tablespoons
- Turnips - 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Paprika - ½ teaspoon
- Maple syrup - 4 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the chicken, cut it into pieces, place it in a pot, and cover with water.
Step 2
While the chicken is coming to a boil, chop the vegetables: cut the potatoes into large chunks, the carrots into sticks, and the onion into quarters.
Step 3
Once the water with the chicken boils, add the potatoes and season the broth with salt.
Step 4
When everything comes to a boil, add the carrots and onion.
Step 5
For the sauce, mix the soy sauce, garlic, and maple syrup.
Step 6
Without fully cooking the potatoes, pour in the sauce and gently mix everything.
Step 7
There shouldn't be too much broth; in fact, there should be very little. If there is too much broth, pour some into another container.
Step 8
When all the liquid evaporates, check the potatoes for doneness—if they are not ready, you can add the reserved broth.
