Ingredients
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts - 3 pieces
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Soy Sauce - ½ teaspoon
- Vegetable Oil - 1 cup
- Rice Vinegar for Sushi - 3 tablespoons
- Sugar - ½ cup
- Peach Juice - 2 fl oz
- Ketchup - ¼ cup
- TABASCO® - ⅓ teaspoon
- Worcestershire Sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Corn Starch - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Rice - 8.8 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Scallions - 2 stalks
- Toasted Sesame - 1 teaspoon
- Canned Pineapple Chunks - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat the vegetable oil until very hot.
Step 2
Cut the chicken into 2x2 cm pieces, mix in a bowl with soy sauce, egg, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Fry in the oil until browned. Remove with a slotted spoon, place on a paper towel, and let the excess oil drain. Discard the oil from the pan as it will not be needed anymore.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix vinegar, sugar, pineapple juice, ketchup, TABASCO, and Worcestershire sauce.
Step 4
Place the pan on the heat, pour in the prepared mixture, and bring to a boil over the lowest heat.
Step 5
In a separate bowl, mix water and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch.
Step 6
Add the cornstarch mixture to the pan, stir immediately, and add the chicken, pineapple, and bell pepper. Mix well again and heat for about 5 minutes.
Step 7
Serve with rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
