Ingredients
- Poultry - 2 lbs
- Dried Apricots - 3.5 oz
- Prunes - 3.5 oz
- Almond - 1.1 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the chicken into serving pieces, or use pre-cut pieces like chicken thighs and drumsticks. Sear them in a hot skillet with vegetable oil until they develop a light crust.
Step 2
Place the chicken in a pressure cooker or large pot, add dried fruits and almonds, season with salt and pepper to taste, and pour in enough water to cover the pieces. If you prefer a sweeter flavor, you can add more prunes. It’s also recommended to use prunes with pits, as they impart a delightful nutty aroma.
Step 3
Cook the chicken in a pressure cooker for one to one and a half hours, until the meat is tender, easily comes off the bone, and has a nice brown color. Serve hot.
