Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet - 2 pieces
  • Saffron - ½ teaspoon
  • Water - 5 fl oz
  • Onion - ½ piece
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Dried Apricots - 0.7 oz
  • Olive Oil - 2 teaspoons
  • Meyer Lemon Juice - 3 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Chop the onion and cut the chicken. Mix the saffron with water and lemon juice.

Step 2

Rub the chicken with pepper and salt. You can also add cinnamon.

Step 3

Place a pot on the stove. Add oil and half of the onion. Then add the chicken and the remaining onion. Pour in the saffron water. Stir, cover with a lid, and let it sit for 30 minutes.

Step 4

Preheat the oven to 100–248°F. Stir again; if the liquid has evaporated, you can add a little boiled water. Cut the dried apricots in half, cover with a lid, and place in the oven for 1 hour.
