Ingredients
- Oregano - 3.5 oz
- Black Cumin (Cumin) - 3.5 oz
- Bay leaf - 4 pieces
- Garlic - 1 head
- Green Figs - 5 pieces
- Citrus Zest Mix - 8 tablespoons
- Olive Oil - 5 fl oz
- Poultry - 5 pieces
- Brown Sugar - ½ cup
- Dry White Wine - ½ cup
- Parsley - 1.2 oz
- Malt Vinegar - ⅓ cup
- Pecan - ¾ cup
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix cumin, oregano, crushed garlic, salt, and pepper for the marinade. Zest the lemon and add it as well. Dress with vinegar and oil. Add bay leaves. Cut the figs into quarters and add them to the marinade. Pour the prepared marinade over the chicken and let it sit for 5–6 hours.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 392°F. Drizzle the chicken with wine and sprinkle with sugar on top. Cover with foil and place in the refrigerator for 20 minutes (2 hours before baking, take the chicken out of the refrigerator). Stir the chicken, pour over the marinade, and bake for 40–50 minutes until cooked through.
