Description
A beautiful, almost festive dish, and who cares if it's a calorie bomb and a protein punch. The chicken breast undergoes a fiery trial, only to be embraced by a rich mixture of mushrooms, chicken broth, and mozzarella.
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 4 pieces
- Champignons - 8.8 oz
- Chicken Broth - 4 fl oz
- Melted Cheese - 7.1 oz
- Italian herb blend - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Parsley - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 2 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rub the fillet with salt, pepper, and herbs.
Step 2
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and sauté the meat until golden brown on both sides.
Step 3
Transfer the meat to a baking tray.
Step 4
Slice the mushrooms thinly.
Step 5
In the same skillet, sauté the mushrooms until they are soft, about 5–7 minutes.
Step 6
Add the mushrooms to the chicken, pour in the hot broth, and place the baking tray in the oven preheated to 374°F for 15 minutes.
Step 7
Grate the cheese using a coarse grater.
Step 8
Sprinkle cheese over the chicken with mushrooms and return to the oven for another 5 minutes.
Step 9
Chop the parsley.
Step 10
Garnish the finished dish with parsley. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
