Chicken with onions and mustard seeds braised in white wine
Ingredients
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts - 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 head
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Mustard Greens - 0.4 oz
- Dry White Wine - 1 fl oz
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Dried Rosemary - to taste
- Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Dice the onion into small cubes.
Step 2
In a skillet, heat the olive oil and melt 50 g of butter with it.
Step 3
Sauté the onion until translucent.
Step 4
Pour the white wine into the onions and simmer for a couple of minutes.
Step 5
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
Step 6
Braised the chicken with the onions, adding the mustard seeds, for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 7
In a saucepan, melt the remaining butter and sauté the flour in it.
Step 8
Add the sautéed flour to the chicken and mix thoroughly. Add oregano.
Step 9
Serve with mashed potatoes.
