Ingredients
- Poultry - 1 piece
- Lemon - ½ piece
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 head
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Tomato Puree - ½ cup
- Red Long Chili Peppers - 1 teaspoon
- Rice - 2 cups
- Dry White Wine - ½ cup
- Canned Mushroom Soup - 1 can
- Pickled Eggplant with Peppers - 3 pieces
- Chicken Broth - 4 cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Clean the chicken, wash it, rub with salt, juice from ½ lemon, and crushed garlic cloves, and let it sit for 1 hour.
Step 2
Meanwhile, heat the vegetable oil and add crushed garlic, coarsely chopped onion, and bell pepper sliced into thin rings, and sauté.
Step 3
When the garlic and onion become soft, add the tomato puree and then the chicken cut into portions (4–8 pieces), and simmer until cooked. Once the chicken is tender, transfer it to a separate dish and keep it warm.
Step 4
Place well-washed and dried rice in the pot where the meat was stewed.
Step 5
Mix the rice and sauce well, add white wine, 4 cups of chicken broth, and the juice from the pickled sweet peppers (you can also add the juice from the canned green peas; if adding pea juice, use less meat broth).
Step 6
Mix all the ingredients well, placing the chicken on top. Put it on the heat.
Step 7
When the rice absorbs the liquid, add the green peas.
Step 8
Leave the dish on low heat for another 5 minutes, then remove, garnish with strips of pickled sweet peppers, and serve immediately.
