- Chickpea - 17.6 oz
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Onion - ¼ piece
- Parsley - 3 stems
- Wheat Flour - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Basil - to taste
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Spanish onions - ½ piece
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Ground ancho chili pepper - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
First, I made the salsa. I hollowed out the tomatoes and diced the flesh into small cubes. I did the same with the pepper, onion, and garlic. I mixed everything with olive oil, ground black pepper, and salt. I left the tomato salsa in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 2
I rinsed the chickpeas under running water and let them dry.
Step 3
I finely chopped the parsley leaves, zested the lemon, and grated the onion. I added all of this to the chickpeas, seasoned with salt, ground black pepper, and mixed well with a spoon until it became a homogeneous paste.
Step 4
I shaped the chickpea paste into patties, rolled them in flour, and fried them in a well-heated skillet with olive oil. The indicator of readiness was a golden and crispy crust.
