Ingredients
- Beef - 2 lbs
- Carrot - 7.1 oz
- Celery stalk - 3.5 oz
- Spanish onions - 3.5 oz
- Red Canned Beans - 8.8 oz
- Tomatoes Concasse - 7.1 oz
- Stout - 12 fl oz
- Sriracha - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Trim the beef of any sinews and fat, then cut it into small pieces. Finely chop the carrot into thin strips, and dice the celery and red onion into small cubes.
Step 2
In a large pot or heavy-bottomed skillet, sauté the onion, carrot, and celery in vegetable oil until they are lightly golden.
Step 3
Then add the beef to the vegetables and cook until a "delicious meaty aroma" develops. Next, add the tomatoes and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste it; if the mixture is too sour, add a little sugar. Pour in the beer and simmer on low heat for about two hours.
Step 4
Add sriracha sauce and beans, and simmer for another 10-15 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it rest for about an hour.
