Chinese Beef Tongue Salad with Cucumbers
Ingredients
- Beef tongue - 14.1 oz
- Cucumbers - 21.2 oz
- Sesame Oil - 5 tablespoons
- Soy Sauce - 7 tablespoons
- Rice Vinegar for Sushi - 2 tablespoons
- Toasted Sesame - 0.2 oz
- Garlic - 2 cloves
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Boil the tongue (no more than one and a half hours, the tongue should not be too soft). To easily remove the skin from the tongue, immediately place it in cold water after boiling.
Step 2
Toast the sesame seeds over high heat without oil until light brown.
Step 3
Slice the cucumbers and cooled tongue into long strips, crush and finely chop the garlic.
Step 4
Mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar (it’s also tasty without vinegar).
Step 5
Combine all the ingredients, drizzle with the sauce, and mix well.
