Ingredients
- Olive Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Butter - 3 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 head
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Lean Beef - 17.6 oz
- Dried onion powder - 2 teaspoons
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Chili Flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Baking Tomatoes - 1 can
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 24.7 oz
- Sugar - 2 teaspoons
- Cinnamon - 1 tablespoon
- Pasta (corkscrew) - 17.6 oz
- Dried onion powder - 2 teaspoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large pot, heat the olive oil over high heat. Remove the seeds from the bell pepper, finely chop the onion and pepper, and sauté until soft.
Step 2
Add the ground beef, garlic powder, dried onion, paprika, red pepper, salt, and pepper to taste. Cook, stirring, for 5-6 minutes.
Step 3
Add the canned tomatoes, crushing them by hand. Then pour in the tomato sauce, add the sugar and cinnamon. Mix thoroughly. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 40-45 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Step 4
While the sauce is cooking, boil the pasta. Cook for 2 minutes less than the package instructions. Drain the water. Add the pasta to the pot with the sauce, mix, and season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Simmer for another 10 minutes over heat and serve hot. Enjoy your meal!
