Chocolate Oatmeal with Banana and Almonds
Ingredients
- Ground Oats - ½ cup
- Milk - 1 cup
- Water - ½ cup
- Bananas - 1 piece
- Cocoa Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Chopped almonds - 1.1 oz
- Vanillin - to taste
- Salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients.
Step 2
In a saucepan, pour in ½ cup of water and 1 cup of milk. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil.
Step 3
Add ½ cup of rolled oats.
Step 4
Cook on low heat, stirring with a whisk, for 10 minutes. At this stage, you can add vanillin to taste.
Step 5
Slice the ripe banana into small pieces, leaving about a third of the banana for decoration.
Step 6
Mash the banana with a fork.
Step 7
Add 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder.
Step 8
Mix well until smooth.
Step 9
Add the chocolate-banana mixture to the almost finished oatmeal and stir.
Step 10
Cook for another 2–3 minutes.
Step 11
Grate the almonds on a fine grater.
Step 12
Decorate the finished oatmeal with banana slices and sprinkle with grated almonds.
