- Turkey - 1 piece
- Butter - 3.2 oz
- Water - 32 fl oz
- Dried parsnip - 1.1 oz
- Chicken Broth - 1.6 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Ocean salt - 1.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 347°F. Remove the giblets from the turkey and rinse it. If the giblets are in good condition, you can leave them and place them on the baking tray.
Step 2
Place the turkey on the baking tray. Separate the skin from the breast to create a small pocket. Place 45 g of butter on both sides of the breast between the skin and the meat. This will make the breast meat juicy.
Step 3
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the water and chicken broth. Add the parsley and finely chopped onion. Pour this mixture over the turkey. Then, season the turkey with sea salt.
Step 4
Wrap the turkey in foil and bake for 3.5 to 4 hours, until the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 176°F. About 45 minutes or slightly less before the dish is done, remove the foil and allow the turkey to brown.
