Classic Crab Stick Salad
Ingredients
- Long-Grain Rice - 5.3 oz
- Water - 8 fl oz
- Chicken Egg - 5 pieces
- Crab sticks in brine - 14.1 oz
- Canned Corn - 10.6 oz
- Scallions - 0.7 oz
- Dill - 0.7 oz
- Cucumbers - 8.8 oz
- Mayonnaise - 5.3 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
In a small saucepan, add the rice and pour in water. Place it over heat and bring to a boil.
Step 3
Cover with a lid, reduce the heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes or until the rice is done. Allow the cooked rice to cool completely.
Step 4
In another saucepan, bring water to a boil and gently lower the eggs into it with a spoon. Boil for 12 minutes. Then, transfer the eggs to cold water to stop the cooking process.
Step 5
Cut the cucumbers into small cubes, about the size of a corn kernel or slightly smaller.
Step 6
Cut the crab sticks into cubes of the same size.
Step 7
Peel the boiled eggs and cut them using a knife or an egg slicer.
Step 8
Slice the green onions into rings and chop the dill finely.
Step 9
In a large bowl, combine all the prepared ingredients. If you do not add mayonnaise and spices, the salad can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Step 10
Before serving, add mayonnaise to the salad, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 11
Serve the salad garnished with fresh herbs.
