Description
Classic Dumplings
Ingredients
- Pork Blood - 17.6 oz
- Beef - 17.6 oz
- Onion - 1 piece
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Egg white - 2 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Filling: grind the meat with the onion using a meat grinder, season the mixture with salt and pepper, and knead until smooth.
Step 2
Dough: sift the flour, make a well in the flour mound, add salt, crack in 2 eggs, add water, and knead a firm dough until it becomes elastic and no longer sticks to your hands.
Step 3
From the prepared dough, take a portion, roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of 1–2 mm or as thin as possible, cut out circles with a diameter of 4–5 cm using a glass, place a teaspoon of the filling inside, and seal both halves together. Then twist the sealed edge to make it look more attractive.
Step 4
Drop the dumplings into boiling salted water, add the bay leaf and whole pepper for aroma, and cook until they float to the surface (5–7 minutes).
Step 5
Serve with sour cream and/or herbs, and you can also serve with broth.
