Description

Cobbler with Chicken Fillet and Zucchini

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet - 10.6 oz
  • Courgette - 17.6 oz
  • Tomatoes - 2 pieces
  • Onion - 1 head
  • Carrot - 1 piece
  • Wheat Flour - 5.3 oz
  • Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
  • Butter - 2.5 oz
  • Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Baking Powder - 1½ teaspoons
  • 1% Kefir - 4 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Cut the chicken fillet into medium pieces and fry in vegetable oil until lightly golden.

Step 2

Slice the onion into half rings and the carrot into strips, add to the chicken fillet and fry for another 5–6 minutes.

Step 3

Then take the zucchini (cut it into cubes), the bell pepper (cut it into strips), and add everything to the fillet, simmer for 15–20 minutes.

Step 4

After that, take the tomatoes, cut them into cubes and add them to the chicken with vegetables. Add water, salt, and pepper (to taste) and cover with a lid. Simmer until half-cooked.

Step 5

Now for the dough: sift 150 grams of flour, add 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder and the butter (cut into cubes). Crumble the butter with the flour into fine crumbs, then add 125 grams of kefir. Knead thoroughly. The dough should be soft, elastic, and slightly sticky to the hands.

Step 6

Roll out the resulting dough and cut small rounds with a glass.

Step 7

Meanwhile, take a baking dish, place the mixture of chicken fillet and vegetables in it. Top with the rounds, placing them close together (as if paving with stones).

Step 8

Place the dish in a preheated oven at 374°F and bake for 15–20 minutes.
