  • Cod fillet - 5.3 oz
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Vegetable Oil - ½ tablespoon
  • Tahini - 1 tablespoon
  • Toasted Cumin Seeds - 2 teaspoons
  • Miso Paste - 2 teaspoons
  • Sugar - 1½ teaspoons
  • Soy Sauce - 2 teaspoons
  • Rice Vinegar for Sushi - 2 teaspoons
  • Mirin - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili Oil - to taste
  • Mixed salad greens - to taste
  • Tomatoes - 2 pieces
  • Green onion tops - 2 pieces

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Season the fish fillet with salt and pepper.

Step 2

In a wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat and sauté the finely chopped garlic for a minute until fragrant.

Step 3

Add the fish and sauté on both sides until cooked through and golden brown.

Step 4

Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix together the tahini, sesame seeds, miso, sugar, vinegar, mirin, and chili oil.

Step 5

On plates, arrange the salad greens, top with diced tomatoes, and then break the fish into medium pieces. Drizzle with the dressing and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
