Ingredients
- Cod fillet - 17.6 oz
- Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
- Cheese Spread - 0.7 oz
- Breadcrumbs - 1 tablespoon
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 10.6 oz
- Fresh Mushrooms - 7.1 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Green peppercorns - 5 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the cod fillet into pieces, season with salt and pepper, coat in flour, and fry. Transfer the fried fish to a baking tray with deep edges and set aside for a while.
Step 2
Make the sauce. Sauté the finely chopped onion until lightly golden, then add the finely chopped mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes. Add a few peppercorns, a bay leaf, tomato sauce, and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and season with salt to taste.
Step 3
Grate the cheese and mix it with the breadcrumbs. Drizzle the fish with sauce and sprinkle with the cheese and breadcrumbs. Bake in the oven at 392°F until a golden crust forms.
