Description
Instead of tomato paste, you can use crushed or diced tomatoes, and the fish can be filleted and used raw, but I find it easier to clean cooked fish.
Ingredients
- Onion - 1 head
- Cod - 4 lbs
- Turnips - 5 pieces
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 24.7 oz
- Ocean salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Boil the cod for about 3 minutes in boiling water.
Step 2
Cool it down, break it into small pieces, and separate it from the bones and skin.
Step 3
Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, and chop the onion into cubes about 1 cm x 1 cm.
Step 4
Pour oil into a frying pan, heat it up, add the onion, and lightly fry it. Add the carrots and sauté for 5-7 minutes, then add the cod. Mix everything and pour in the tomato paste, adding salt, pepper, and spices to taste. Cover with a lid, reduce the heat, and simmer for about 15 minutes.
