Description
Cold Bonito Tuna Casserole
Ingredients
- Bonito tuna fillet - 2 lbs
- Breadcrumbs - 6 tablespoons
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Sherry - 6 fl oz
- Serrano Chili - 1 piece
- Bacon - 1 piece
- Corn Salad - to taste
- Tomatoes - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the sliced bonito tuna fillet in a bowl, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, pour in the lightly beaten egg and sherry, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well with your hands and shape the mixture into a triangle on a towel. Layer the serrano ham and bacon, cut into 5 mm strips, alternately on top.
Step 2
Using the towel, roll the mixture into a log, wrap it up, and tie knots at both ends. Place the log in a pot, cover completely with water, then add all the broth ingredients and season with salt.
Step 3
Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover the pot, and simmer for 45 minutes. Drain the broth and transfer the log directly on a flat plate using the towel. Place a weight (like a cutting board) on top and refrigerate the log for at least 2 hours.
Step 4
Now remove the towel and slice the log into pieces. Serve on the table with green salad and tomatoes.
