Congrio Baked in Lavash
Ingredients
- Congrio fillet - 17.6 oz
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Basil - 1 bunch
- Armenian Lavash - 2 pieces
- Ground Dried Garlic - to taste
- Khmeli-suneli - a pinch
- Salt - a pinch
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Butter - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
You need to use fish fillet without bones, so if you bought a whole fish, you need to cut out the backbone and remove all the bones, there aren't many.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 374°F. On a baking sheet, lay out 2 sheets of lavash, generously spread butter on the top sheet.
Step 3
On one edge of the lavash, place the congri fillet, season with salt and add spices to taste. Top with sliced tomatoes and basil leaves.
Step 4
Wrap the filling first in one layer of lavash, then in a second layer so that the fish is tightly enclosed.
Step 5
Bake for 40 minutes. To prevent the lavash from burning, place a few pieces of butter on top halfway through the cooking.
