Cornmeal Lasagna with Sausages
Ingredients
- Water - 6 cups
- Coarse Cornmeal - 2 cups
- Olive Oil - 6 tablespoons
- Onion - 4.2 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers - 3.9 oz
- Sausages - 28.2 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 1 can
- Melted Cheese - 28.2 oz
- Sour Cream - 14.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Boil water in a medium saucepan and stir in the cornmeal. Cook until thickened for about 5-7 minutes. Then transfer the porridge to 2 wide baking sheets and let cool.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 356°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
Step 3
While the oven is heating up, melt the oil and sauté the sausages in a skillet. Then add the onion, bell pepper, and mix well. Pour in the pasta sauce and simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes.
Step 4
Cut each hardened layer of porridge into 2 rectangles. Then place one layer at the bottom of a baking dish, top with a layer of sausages, spread with sour cream, and sprinkle with mozzarella. Repeat the layering until all layers are used. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Then remove from the oven and let sit for about 10 minutes before serving.
