Description
Country-Style Chicken French Way
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 3 spoons
- Chicken fillet - 26.5 oz
- Olive Oil - 2 spoons
- Fresh Mushrooms - 15.9 oz
- Shallot - 1 piece
- Chicken Broth - 7 fl oz
- Dry White Wine - 2 fl oz
- Tarragon - 8 pieces
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the chicken fillet and cut it into small pieces, then pound them to a thickness of about 3 mm. On a cutting board, mix flour, salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of chopped tarragon. Then, coat the pieces of chicken in this mixture.
Step 2
Chop the shallots. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and shallots to the skillet and sauté uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 12–15 minutes, until all the moisture has evaporated. Transfer the mixture to a bowl.
Step 3
Heat the remaining oil in the same skillet. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and fry for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Step 4
Pour the broth and white wine into the skillet where the chicken was cooked, then add the mushrooms with onions and the remaining tarragon. Bring everything to a boil and let it simmer for 1 minute. Transfer the chicken to a serving platter and drizzle with the mushroom sauce. Garnish with chopped tarragon.
