Couscous with Cherry Topping
Ingredients
- Couscous - ½ cup
- Boiling water - ¾ cup
- Marinated cherries - 0 oz
- Malt Vinegar - ½ teaspoon
- Dried Chamomile - ½ teaspoon
- Fresh basil leaves - ½ teaspoon
- Lemon-Pepper Mix - to taste
- Ocean salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour couscous into a deep bowl, add marjoram and oregano (red basil).
Step 2
Season with the pepper blend.
Step 3
Add salt.
Step 4
Mix well.
Step 5
Pour boiling water over it.
Step 6
Cover with a lid or plate for 4 minutes.
Step 7
Chop the cherries coarsely.
Step 8
In a heated pan, add the cherries to the oil.
Step 9
After 3–4 minutes, add the wine vinegar, stir, and reduce the heat.
Step 10
After a couple of minutes, remove from heat.
Step 11
Fluff the couscous with a fork. Add salt to taste.
Step 12
Add the cherries and mix. Done!
