Ingredients
- Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice - 14.1 oz
- Basil - 0.2 oz
- 33% Cream - 2 fl oz
- Olive Oil - 0 fl oz
- Thyme - 2 sprigs
- Sugar - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Spaghetti - 4.9 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil, add the pasta, and cook it for 1 minute less than the package instructions suggest.
Step 3
Remove the leaves from the basil sprigs and slice them into thin strips.
Step 4
Finely chop the peeled tomatoes.
Step 5
Remove the leaves from the thyme sprigs and chop them finely.
Step 6
Place the pelati in a skillet and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Step 7
Add thyme and basil, along with the pasta cooking water. Stir well.
Step 8
Add a pinch of sugar, black pepper, and salt.
Step 9
Add the cream and stir.
Step 10
Drain the pasta in a colander and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
Step 11
Serve immediately.
