Crispy Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients

  • Chicken Drumstick - 28.2 oz
  • Paprika - 1 tablespoon
  • Ground Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Chicken Seasoning - 2 teaspoons
  • Corn Starch - 1 tablespoon
  • Wheat Flour - 1½ tablespoons
  • Red Curry Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Toasted Sesame - to taste
  • Garlic - ½ head
  • Ketchup - 12 oz
  • Barbecue sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice Vinegar for Sushi - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 3 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Prepare the chilled chicken drumsticks. Cut off the cartilage from the drumstick. Pull the meat away from the bone. Take foil and tightly wrap the bones of each drumstick.

Step 2

Prepare the breading: mix cornstarch, flour, paprika, black pepper, chicken seasoning, and curry powder.

Step 3

Coat each drumstick in the resulting mixture. Place the prepared pieces on a rack.

Step 4

Place the drumsticks in the preheated oven. Bake for 40 minutes at 392°F until a crispy crust forms.

Step 5

Prepare the glaze sauce. In a saucepan, pour in rice vinegar, add cane sugar, ketchup, sriracha sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Mix everything together. Taste and adjust seasoning.

Step 6

Remove the baked drumsticks from the oven, and if the crust is firm, it’s perfect. Drizzle the sauce over the meat.

Step 7

Return the dish to the oven for another 5 minutes at 392°F. After 5 minutes, take it out of the oven, place it on a plate, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
