- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Poultry - 4 lbs
- Ground Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Buttermilk - 16 fl oz
- Baking Powder - 16 fl oz
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the chicken into small pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a bag and pour in the buttermilk. Mix well and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Step 2
Remove the chicken from the marinade and thoroughly coat it in flour.
Step 3
In a large pot, heat plenty of vegetable oil. Add half of the chicken, cover with a lid, and fry for 8 minutes. Remove the lid and cook for another 12 minutes until cooked through and golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel and repeat with the remaining chicken.
