Description
A traditional Indian sauce, also known as a soup: yogurt, finely chopped cucumbers, and spices. It should be served cold, taken out of the refrigerator at the very last moment.
Ingredients
- Yogurt powder - 20 oz
- Cucumbers - 10 oz
- Black Cumin (Cumin) - 2 spoons
- Yellow Mustard Seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro - 0 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Lightly toast cumin and black mustard seeds in a dry skillet, then grind them in a mortar and pestle or using a food processor.
Step 2
Peel the cucumbers, remove the seeds (as they contain a lot of water), and dice them into small cubes.
Step 3
Whisk the yogurt well, then add the cucumbers, cumin, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper, incorporate the chopped cilantro, and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate overnight. Serve alongside spicy Indian dishes.
