Description
Cutlets in Potatoes under Cheese Cap
Ingredients
- Onion - 1 piece
- Ground meat - 21.2 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 4 tablespoons
- Salad Potatoes - 7 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 5 tablespoons
- White bread - 3.5 oz
- Breadcrumbs - 6 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Cheese Spread - 4.2 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
First, we make the cutlets from any ground meat; it can be chicken, beef, turkey, or fish—according to your taste (I used beef). Coat them in breadcrumbs or flour and fry until fully cooked.
Step 2
Next, boil the peeled potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain all the water and mash the potatoes until smooth.
Step 3
From the slightly cooled potato mixture, form balls, the number should match the number of cooked cutlets.
Step 4
Place a potato ball on your palm, put a cutlet on top, and wrap it in the potato.
Step 5
In a separate bowl, grate the cheese on a fine grater (you can use your favorite, but it's better to choose hard varieties), add mayonnaise to the cheese, and mix everything together.
Step 6
On top of the previously made ball, place the cheese with mayonnaise and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil greased with oil, arranging our potato balls with cutlets.
Step 7
Send everything to a preheated oven at 356°F (about 350 degrees Fahrenheit) for approximately 15–20 minutes, until a golden crust forms.
