Sudzukakya is one of the most popular main dishes in Greece!
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 17.6 oz
- Ground meat - 21.2 oz
- Rosé Dry Wine - 3 fl oz
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Wheat Flour - 1.8 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Ground Cumin - ½ teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Breadcrumbs - 3.2 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the tomatoes and grate them.
Step 2
Mix the ground meat with the breadcrumbs, pressed garlic, salt, pepper, and cumin. Divide into 12 portions and shape into elongated cutlets. Coat each in flour.
Step 3
Fry the cutlets in heated oil until golden brown. Then transfer to a plate.
Step 4
Pour the wine into the skillet used for the cutlets and add the tomatoes. Simmer on low heat until thickened.
Step 5
Add the cutlets to the tomato sauce. Occasionally turning, simmer on low heat under a lid for 15 minutes.
