Danish Christmas Gløgg with almonds, raisins, and vodka
Ingredients
- Red Grape Juice - 25 fl oz
- Vodka - 2 fl oz
- Sugar - 2.6 oz
- Cinnamon - 1 piece
- Grated Ginger Root - ½ spoons
- Clove - 6 pieces
- Raisins - 3.5 oz
- Almond - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a pot, combine red wine, vodka, sugar, almonds, raisins, and spices, and place over medium heat. Stirring frequently, heat the mixture until it's hot but do not let it boil.
Step 2
When the liquid is just about to boil, remove the pot from heat and let the glögg steep at room temperature for 30-40 minutes (or longer if desired).
Step 3
Before serving, place the pot back on medium heat and heat it thoroughly.
Step 4
Serve hot in small ovenproof cups or glass bowls.
