Description
Delicious rice balls with sesame
Ingredients
- Brown Rice - 1 cup
- Spinach - 2.5 oz
- Toasted sesame seeds - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour a little more than half a cup of cold water into a pot and add the rice. Cook until it boils. Add another cup of water if you see that the rice has absorbed all the water. It is advisable to reduce the heat to the minimum to prevent the grains from burning. Cover the pot with a lid and cook the rice until it becomes soft – this type of grain requires quite a bit of time, about 40 minutes. Once the rice swells and becomes fluffy, you can remove it from the heat. Do not open the lid immediately; let it sit for another 5 minutes.
Step 2
Now let's move on to the spinach and sesame. Take a medium bowl. Mix these ingredients together and gradually take rice from the pot, carefully mixing the clumps in your hands and rolling them into small balls. Rice balls are usually served warm. They can also be stored in the refrigerator, but only for up to 3 days. To reheat the cold balls, the heating temperature should be 350 degrees Fahrenheit, so that the insides are warmed as well and do not remain cold.
