Ingredients
- Water - 32 fl oz
- Salt - 2 teaspoons
- Semolina - 6.3 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 2 fl oz
- Minced garlic - 2 cloves
- Grated Ginger Root - 2 teaspoons
- Curry - 5 pieces
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 piece
- Yellow Mustard Seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Toasted Cumin Seeds - ½ teaspoon
- Marinated cherries - 12 pieces
- Green Peas - 8.5 oz
- Macadamia Nuts - 2.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour 960 ml of water into a small pot and bring it to a boil over medium heat.
Step 2
Add salt and gradually add semolina, stirring thoroughly to avoid lumps.
Step 3
The semolina should thicken well.
Step 4
Whisk the semolina and remove from heat. Melt the oil in a pan, add garlic, ginger, curry leaves, chili, mustard seeds, and cumin, and sauté for about 11 minutes.
Step 5
Add chopped cherry tomatoes, peas, and cashews.
Step 6
Sauté thoroughly until the nuts begin to darken.
Step 7
Mix the cooked semolina with the prepared mixture, seasoning everything with salt and pepper.
