Description
Duck with apples and buckwheat
Ingredients
- Duck - 1 piece
- Antonovka apples - 10 pieces
- Buckwheat Groats - 7.1 oz
- Butter - 0.7 oz
- Honey - 0.7 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Core five apples and cut them in half.
Step 2
Gut the duck, remove excess fat, and rub the skin with salt and pepper. Finally, coat it with honey for a beautiful, delicious crust. It's best to use light honey, such as floral or linden.
Step 3
Grease a baking tray with butter. Stuff the duck with halved apples, place it on the tray, and put it in an oven preheated to 150–338°F for one and a half to two hours. Every twenty minutes, open the oven and baste the duck with the juices that accumulate.
Step 4
During this time, cook the buckwheat in salted water until it's almost done. Cut the remaining apples into pieces, removing the cores.
Step 5
Twenty minutes before cooking is done, pour the buckwheat and apples onto a baking sheet.
