Description
The finished duck can be garnished with clusters of fresh grapes. It is best served with boiled rice or bulgur.
Ingredients
- Duck - 1 piece
- Grapefruits - 14.1 oz
- Apple - 2 lbs
- Red Grape Juice - 8 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Mixed Ground Peppers - to taste
- Honey - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the apples. Cut half into wedges and the other half into large cubes.
Step 2
Wash the duck, season with salt, stuff it with the diced apples, and sew it up. Then carefully transfer it to a greased baking dish, cover with foil, and place in a preheated oven at 356°F for 1 to 1.5 hours (the exact time depends on the size of the duck).
Step 3
Remove the duck from the oven, take off the foil, and drain the fat into a separate pot. Brush the surface of the duck with honey, sprinkle with pepper, and return it to the oven to brown the skin.
Step 4
In the pot with the duck fat, pour in the wine, add the apples and grapes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Take the duck out again, carefully transfer the stewed apples and grapes to it, and pour the resulting sauce over. Return to the oven for another 15 minutes.
