Description

You can use any mushrooms — from regular store-bought button mushrooms to wild porcini.

Ingredients

  • Boiling water - 7 fl oz
  • Butter - 1.8 oz
  • Sour Cream - 1.8 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
  • Fresh Mushrooms - 17.6 oz
  • Onion - 1 head
  • Dill - 0.7 oz
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Prepare all the ingredients.

Sift the flour into a large bowl.

Add the softened butter, sour cream, and salt (6 g) to the flour.

Mix until crumbly.

Pour in boiling water and immediately start stirring. The dough should come together into a ball without any remnants. If there are crumbs left at the bottom of the bowl, add another 15-20 ml of boiling water and incorporate them.

Once the dough comes together into a ball, continue kneading it on the countertop until it becomes smooth and uniform.

Wrap the prepared dough in plastic wrap and let it rest at room temperature for half an hour. The dough for dumplings can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two days.

Chop the onion into small cubes.

Also, cut the mushrooms into small cubes.

In a skillet, heat vegetable oil and sauté the onion until golden brown.

Finally, add finely chopped dill, season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow the filling to cool before shaping the dumplings.

Roll out the dough into a thin layer and cut out circles using a glass or a cookie cutter.

Place a spoonful of filling in the center of the dough circle and firmly seal the edges of the dough. Repeat this process with the remaining dough and filling.
