Dumplings with wild garlic
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 28.2 oz
- Water - 17 fl oz
- Cottage cheese - 10.6 oz
- Ghee - 0.7 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Ramsons - 10.6 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Sour Cream - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Rinse and clean the ramsons.
Step 10
Serve the finished dumplings hot, with sour cream, and optionally drizzle with melted butter.
Step 2
Boil 500 ml of water and mix it with flour and 1 teaspoon of salt.
Step 3
Knead the dough until smooth. Let it rest under plastic wrap for 15–20 minutes.
Step 4
Finely chop the wild garlic.
Step 5
Heat vegetable oil and sauté the ramsons for about 5 minutes. Add salt to taste.
Step 6
Mash the cottage cheese with a spoon or fork.
Step 7
Combine the wild garlic with the cottage cheese and melted butter. Allow the filling to cool.
Step 8
Take a piece of dough and wrap the filling in it, shaping a dumpling. Repeat the same process with the remaining dough.
Step 9
In a pot, bring salted water to a boil and add the dumplings. Cook for 7–8 minutes.
