Egg, Cheese, and Sriracha Sandwiches
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 4 pieces
- White bread - 4 slices
- Cheddar cheese - 2.1 oz
- Butter - 0.9 oz
- Sriracha - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the grill to medium heat. Season the egg mixture well with salt and pepper and pour it into a shallow bowl. Dip the slices of bread into the egg mixture one at a time, pressing down on the bread to soak it as much as possible.
Step 2
Sprinkle half of the grated cheese on 2 slices of bread, then top with the remaining 2 slices to make a sandwich.
Step 3
Heat a skillet and add the butter. When it starts to foam, place the sandwiches in the skillet. If both sandwiches do not fit in the skillet at once, you can fry them one at a time using half of the butter.
Step 4
After a couple of minutes, when the slices of bread are glued together and a golden crust forms, flip them and fry the other side in the same way. Once the sandwiches are toasted, transfer them to a baking sheet.
Step 5
Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, then place the baking sheet under the grill for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts. Serve with sriracha or another hot sauce.
